Recent blog: SWEET DEVON up the mountain, from the hotel, is steep and winding and the driver can't go too fast which gives us the opportunity to view the passing countryside. Most of the houses are simple structures, probably built in the 17th and 18th Centuries, but here and there we come upon a large chateau with an excellent view of the Med from his patio or gardens. We pass many vineyards and the scent of grapes is everywhere . As we come closer to the restaurant, high up the mountain, we pass the road that leads to the famous Fondation Maeght Museum which houses a fabulous Miro collection . Soon after, we come to the road which leads to Marc Chagall's chateau only a few miles away.
